Notre équipe de dégustation à l’honneur chez @ruinart_winemakers dans ce post.
Meet Théo, Gildas and Cyprien, this year’s @agrotastingchallenge winners and the heart of the @tanin.oenologie tasting club at ENSTA Paris. They might spend their days studying mathematics, physics and engineering, but their evenings often revolve around wine with blind tastings, lively debates and the occasional “aha” bottle.
What makes their club stand out is how it brings students from all walks of campus life together around the same table. There are over twenty members, ranging across years and specialties, meeting regularly to taste, train, and invite winemakers to share their knowledge. When a competition is on the horizon, they taste together every week.
We asked if winning changed their career plans. For now, they see wine as a passion, not a profession. Gildas is finishing a degree in nuclear energy, Théo plans to specialise in applied mathematics, and Cyprien is working toward a career as a mathematical engineer. Still, each has a story about a bottle that changed the way they think about wine, from classic Bordeaux and Burgundy to a memorable Dom Ruinart RD 1998 and even the discovery of vin jaune.
We love seeing young people dive into the world of wine from such different backgrounds. The future of wine is in good hands (and not just the professional kind).
